Any offering to the Gods made through a Yagya follows a sacred 3-step process:
1️⃣ First, we offer to Swaha — the consort of Agni, the Fire God. At the end of every mantra, we say “Swaha” as we place herbs or ghee into the sacred fire. 2️⃣ Swaha accepts the offering and lovingly gives it to Agni, the Fire God. 3️⃣ Agni, the divine messenger, carries our offering to the respective deity.
🕉️ This morning, our Punditji performed a powerful Baglamukhi Yagya in the sacred city of Ujjaini nagari. 📿 Tonight, we perform another Yagya at Harsiddhi Temple, one of the 51 Shakti Peethas where Maa Sati’s elbow is said to have fallen.
Why Agni Matters There are 3 forms of Agni described in Vedic tradition:
🔥 Bahya Agni – the external sacred fire, honored through Yagya
🔥 Jathara Agni – the fire of digestion within the belly
🔥 Kaam Agni – the fire of desire or lust, the most dangerous if uncontrolled. It has shaken even the greatest sages. (I will share a profound story of Rishi Jaimini soon)
One of the highest ways to honor Agni is to participate in regular Yagyas. Let the fire transform your karma, desires, and destiny.
