Four Months When the Universe Turns Inward

Chaturmaas begins on Dev Shayani Ekadashi: July 24/25
Chaturmaas ends on Prabodhini Ekadashi: Nov 19/20

Beginning July 24/25, we enter one of the most overlooked yet spiritually potent periods of the Vedic calendar: Chaturmaas.

For thousands of years, sages, monks, and spiritual seekers treated these four months differently. They paused unnecessary activity, took vows, deepened their practice, and aligned themselves with a powerful cosmic rhythm.

Why?

Why are weddings traditionally avoided during this time?

Why does Chaturmaas begin and end on two very specific Ekadashis?

And why are so many of Hinduism’s greatest festivals packed into these four months?

I answer all of these questions in my latest video, along with practical guidance on how to make the most of this sacred period.

If you want to understand what Chaturmaas really is—not just the stories, but the deeper spiritual and astronomical significance—this is a video you won’t want to miss.
