Kalashtami on Tuesday: A Powerful Night to Worship Kaal Bhairava

This month’s Kalashtami falls on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 — and it’s a doubly charged one. Krishna Paksha Ashtami lands on Bhairav’s own weekday, which tradition says amplifies the effect.

What Kalashtami Is​
Every month, the eighth day of the waning moon is dedicated to Kaal Bhairava, the fierce and compassionate guardian aspect of Lord Shiva. “Kaal” represents time itself, while “Bhairava” is revered as the remover of fear and protector of the spiritual path. Devotees worship Bhairava to seek protection from negative influences, overcome fear, dissolve obstacles, strengthen discipline, and receive the courage to move forward with clarity.
