The Special New Moon which will not return for 32 MonthsAs Adhik Maas approaches its conclusion, we arrive at one of the most subtle and spiritually potent days in last 32 months: Adhik Maas Amavasya. New Moon Window USA (PDT): June 13 11:30 pm – June 14, 7:54 pm INDIA (IST): June 14, 12 noon – June 15, 8:24 am
Amavasya is the night when the Moon disappears completely from the sky. In the language of spirituality, it represents the dissolution of the ego, the emptying of the mind, and the return to the unseen source from which all things emerge. This particular Amavasya carries special significance because it occurs during Adhik Maas—the sacred “extra month” dedicated to Lord Vishnu, repentance, devotion, and karmic purification. Traditionally, this is considered a powerful time to remember and honor one’s ancestors. Through prayer, charity, mantra, or simple heartfelt gratitude, we acknowledge those whose lives and choices shaped our own journey. Esoterically, Adhik Maas Amavasya is not about acquiring more. It is about releasing. Releasing ancestral burdens. Releasing old karmic patterns. Releasing emotional weight that no longer serves your soul’s evolution. And this Adhik Maas Amavasya coincides with Surya Sankranti into the sign of Gemini on the same night! I will do a special video on this upcoming transit of Sun in Gemini. Only a few days remain in Adhik Maas. Use them wisely. Namaste, AMIT GARG, BharatAstroVeda.com |
