He was told that throughout his life, he had generously donated wealth but he had never offered food and water in the name of his ancestors. Karna explained that he had not known his true ancestry during his lifetime. He was then permitted to return to Earth for 15 days so that he could make offerings to his ancestors. And these 15 days was Pitru Paksha, a time when we remember those who came before us, express our gratitude and offer food and water in their name. But what should we actually do during Pitru Paksha?
